The Fix Salon prides itself on the talent and diverse, yet extensive training of our stylists. Each of our stylists provide consistent, high-level service to every client. With each stylist's unique skill set and personality, clients have the ability to customize their salon experience by choosing the stylist that best fits their needs.
Our Team
Gizell Ancheta is a renowned stylist with over twenty years of industry experience. She has worked across the country mastering techniques of all hair types until opening her own salon here in Kailua, Hawaii. She not only dominates her own craft but consistently pursues educational outreach where she is an instructor of rigorous color and cutting seminars. She inspires the next generation of stylists with her passion both behind the chair, and at the front of the classroom.
Her accolades are attributed to her leadership with Lejardin Academy for the youth, L’Oreal Professionals ambassadorship, magazine editorials, runways, and Red-carpet events. Her career has been built around advanced education where she carries a belief in “knowledge gained is knowledge shared”. She is a mentor to her salon, to her community and now nation wide as an educator for Duomo Professional Color and Hattori Hanzo Shears.
Gizell is grateful for the opportunities that have developed her career and only hopes to be able to pass along the same opportunities. Learning from Gizell will not only leave you full of new techniques but also full of Aloha.

For over 20 years, Matt's passion for hair, fashion and music has left a noticeable impression in the Kailua landscape. Since opening The Fix in 2007, Matt is an experienced and versatile stylist, with an well trained eye for precision cuts and color, from simple styles to avant-garde looks. Throughout his career, he has continued to stay at the forefront of hair education with training from industry leaders, including Vidal Sassoon, Toni and Guy, Bumble & Bumble, Sally Rogerson, and Goldwell.
Tiari, also known as “Tee”, has been in the industry for over 5 years. A Hawaiian born island girl who always knew growing up she had a love for beauty and fashion. Inspired by her Auntie from a young age, she’s been growing her success from her roots. She continued developing her love for hair and regularly takes cutting and color classes to keep up with the latest trends and techniques. She has an eye for balayages, blonding, vivid color, and seamless layered cuts. She take her time to make sure her clients leave feeling refreshed, polished and happy with their new hair. Erin has lived in Kailua most of her life, and will be here forever if she has any say in it! She grew up in the punk/alternative scene, where she fell in love with hair all the while turning friends' bathtubs purple and experimenting with mohawk designs. She spent a few years in Southern California doing SFX hair and make-up for haunted attractions and events. After college, she decided to follow her passion and throw herself into hair full-time. To this day, she loves alternative hairstyles from rainbow neon layers to pastel mullets and everything in between. Erin is your girl, whether you want a big change or to stick to the classics. All that really matters to her is that her clients leave her chair 100% obsessed with their hair. If a best friendship is born in the meantime, all the better.

Jodie is a Certified Microblading Specialist & Licensed Tattoo Artist, trained and certified in the UK with a leading brow training academy as featured in British Vogue Magazine and Brow HQ. Jodie is the go to brow expert for achieving hyper-realistic natural results. She has a curator's eye for detail and loves to create the perfect brow tailored specifically for her clients. Jodie has spent over 15 years in the luxury fashion and design industry and has a talent for curating tailored brows that compliment the face and frame flawlessly. Jodie also has worked in the healing and energy arts for over 10 years which is integrated into the experience of the microblading session through the attention and care she provides for her clients.

Hey loves! My name is Latisha Alo. I’m a hair stylist at The Fix: Beyond The Mirror Salon and Spa, My current days at the salon are Wednesday - Saturday. What I love most about my job is being behind the chair and connecting with every individual that I have the honor of meeting. I was born on O’ahu, but I was raised on the beautiful garden isle of Kaua’i. I have a fiancée and together we have a 4 year old son. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with textured hair and exploring how each curl texture works. I also love a challenging color transformation that can range from fun colors to platinum and everything in between. I can’t wait to meet you and make all your hair dreams come true!
Wendi was born and raised in Kaneohe and has always had a passion for makeup. She never knew she’d love doing hair until she was able to learn how to in cosmetology school. In 2016, after graduating from Honolulu Community College Cosmetology School, she became an assistant hairstylist but aspired to learn more and continue her education. Wendi then changed salons and started her career as a full time hairstylist. When an opportunity arose to be apart of the BTM team, she didn’t hesitate. She found her passion in cutting all hair types, including men’s hair, as well as the art of hair color. Now, with love for hair, she is always working on her craft and making her clients look and feel beautiful.

Hi’ilei was born and raised on the east side of O’ahu and currently resides in Kailua with her beautiful family. She has two children and an amazing other half that has made her life an absolute dream! Being a mother taught Hi’ilei that most days are not always glitz & glamour, and those self care days are few and far between. I always assure that my clients are able to fully take advantage of their time away from their day-to-day “life” to feel relaxed and beautiful in her chair! Great hair is just the bonus. Her specialty is in awesome color transformations that are personalized for each client’s lifestyle. This is her all time favorite! Book with Hi’ilei and she will look forward to seeing you!

Selah was raised in Arizona and has now been living on the island for the past 5 years. She has always been drawn towards the fashion industry. Once she started her beauty school journey, she found quickly that doing hair is where her passion really lies. She loves anything BLONDE and lived in color, like you just walked off the beach with a kiss from the sun. She has been working at The Fix Beyond the Mirror since we opened almost three years ago and has had nothing but love for this space and the people in it! When she is not at the salon you can find her being a bum at the beach, reading a book or traveling!

Beauty is an art that is seen through the unique eye of Shaylee. The happiness and confidence each client radiates as they leave her chair is her passion. She has 10 years experience, working with all hair types and her hair styles showcase just that. She has advanced educational training at one of Redkens Elite salons. Specializing in balayage techniques, she is a team ambassador for Masters of balayage. Her free spirit and talent has allowed her to expand her palette working behind the scenes with other professional hairstylists for local magazines, fashion photo shoots and weddings. Her dedication, passion all expressed with fun and laughter, creating a memorable experience.
